BMT Fleet Technology Acquires Earle Barclay & Company

BMT Fleet Technology Ltd, a subsidiary of BMT Group Ltd, announced today the acquisition of Newfoundland based marine and civil engineering consultancy Earle Barclay & Company, Inc.

This acquisition is intended to strengthen and complement BMT's existing coast to coast range of engineering services and enhance its expertise in the research, planning, design, maintenance and forensic engineering fields.

It will also reemphasize BMT Fleet Technology's commitment and presence in the Newfoundland area of Canada, as well as help to consolidate its already established linkage with the Memorial University ‘BMT Offshore Structures and Arctic Engineering Program (BOSARP)', which is a collaborative project between BMT Fleet Technology and Memorial University. The project conducts research in the support of offshore and arctic structures.

Aaron Dinovitzer, President of BMT Fleet Technology, commented: "Earle Barclay & Company has a longstanding portfolio of experience in the marine and civil engineering sectors which will be invaluable to the development of our offering and our ability to meet the needs of our local customers in the Newfoundland area and beyond

William R V Earle, Principal and Professional Engineer at Earle Barclay & Company, said: "We at Earle Barclay are especially pleased at becoming part of the BMT Fleet Technology family and look forward to pursuing those opportunities that this acquisition presents".
